Usability Evaluation of Spotify

Our group decided to evaluate the popular music streaming service, Spotify, because it most directly relates to the app we designed: InTune. Similar to our app, InTune, Spotify provides personalized recommendations and playlists based on the user’s music listening habits. The application is used to stream songs and podcasts from a wide variety of genres, artists, and albums. Users access Spotify through both mobile devices and computers. Spotify’s target users are essentially any music enthusiast, as well as people who seek to discover and share music. Spotify allows its users to curate their own playlists, catering to people of all ages and demographics. However, the application primarily targets younger generations who are more likely to use streaming services to listen to music.
